2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Clarksburg)
This is a lighter style “summer” Cab that presents with a beautiful garnet color and black cherry, raspberry, tobacco and leather on the nose. On the palate notice cranberry, Bing cherry and cola. Cheese pairings for this wine include a gentle blue such as Cambozola, Port Salut and sharp cheddar. At mealtime, pair this wine with seared duck breast, roasted lamb, lightly seasoned lamb chops, fennel spiced salami and mushroom risotto.
